About

This blog is inspired by the food un-grown, the buildings abandoned, the votes un-cast, the innovations buried, the idealism suppressed and the humanity lost.

I’ve had the privilege to grow up in the intellectual heating pad of the Boston suburbs, the rainy nirvana at the base of Puget Sound and now the perpetually idyllic liberal oasis of Encinitas by the sea.

Join me in dusting off the rocks unturned. I’ll do my best to acknowledge the sociological inertia responsible for our shortcomings, but I will also expound idealistically and poke the bear of status quo apathy. It’s my hope I can empower our optimism by suggesting many of our problems as a society aren’t about what we lack, but what we squander.
